That's The
Truth
|
Paula Hawley's
third release, That's The Truth, pulls the inspirational thread
from her previous, The Voice Inside, and weaves a richer musical
tapestry. Original gems like the tribal-influenced
title
cut and hip-hop
flavored "Only Your Grace" fit comfortably between
fresh arrangements of classics like "Desperado" and
"Amazing Grace" and the emotion-charged "From The
Ashes" and "Prayer To St. Peter". The shimmering
"Love Has Found Us", a waltz Paula wrote for her
wedding, conjures images of a joyous eighteenth
century celebration.
Her choice of songs
written primarily in first person allows her
audience to feel the songs as their personal
stories while her country-tinged vocals paint lyric
pictures with a grounded sincerity that hooks the
listener from beginning to end. This record is an
easy listen and an instant favorite.
Released
September 1, 2003.

The
Voice Inside
This sophomore
independent release from Paula Hawley speaks to
that place in the heart reserved for joy and
reverence, reflecting her personal spiritual growth
and her continued dedication to lyrics which are
profound in their directness and simplicity. From
the insightful title
cut and the
soul-searching "The Way
Home" to
the hopeful "Circle of
Angels"
and prayer-like "Heal Me", Hawley's music encourages
emotional healing and spiritual well-being through
love, forgiveness and trust in God.
With a musical
backdrop centered around acoustic instruments and a
vocal style that is conversational and sincere, she
invites the listener into each song as if she is
speaking directly to you, or perhaps, for
you.

Out
From Under The Rock
Debut country
release from performing songwriter, Paula Hawley,
features 11 original tunes. With a fresh and sassy
approach to acoustic country, her style
incorporates elements from pop-country, folk, early
rock and bluegrass. Lyrically, she ventures from
the ultra-light "I Did It
Again" to
the deeply introspective "Saturday
Morning"
with melodies ranging from catchy up-tempos to
haunting ballads. The lilting "Change
of Heart"
made it to the #1 slot on the Panel Report
Independent Country Singles chart. A bonus
Christmas track makes this album a year-round
favorite.
